Privacy Policy
1. Scope and Principles
This Policy applies to the local verification-code, account-management, backup, transfer, and membership features provided by this App. The App does not require a service account, does not operate a business server that stores your verification data, contains no advertising or third-party behavioral analytics SDK, and does not track you across apps or websites. Except for information required to provide the functions described below, we do not actively collect, upload, sell, or rent your personal information.
2. Data Processing and On-Device Storage
Account labels, service names, setup keys, and related settings that you enter or scan remain on your device. Setup keys are protected by the system Keychain, and verification codes are calculated locally. Searches, usage activity, and setup keys are not uploaded to us. Membership status is cached on the device and updated from an Apple-signed App Store receipt.
3. System Permissions
- Camera: accessed only when you choose to scan a QR code; the scanned content is processed locally.
- Photos: the system photo picker is used when you choose a QR image, and add-only access is requested when you save a transfer QR image. We do not scan or upload your photo library.
- Face ID / Touch ID: authentication is performed by the operating system. The App receives only success, failure, or cancellation and never obtains or stores facial or fingerprint data.
You can change permissions at any time in system settings. Disabling a permission affects only the features that require it.
4. Purchase and Subscription Information
Apple processes membership purchases, payment methods, Apple ID credentials, subscription management, and refunds. Through StoreKit, the App receives product information, transaction status, purchase status, and subscription validity from an Apple-signed receipt solely to activate, maintain, or restore membership access. We cannot access your card details, full billing information, or Apple ID password. Apple's processing is governed by its own privacy policy.
5. Backup, Transfer, and Clipboard
Encrypted backup files, transfer QR codes, and copied verification codes are created only when you request them. Backup passwords are not uploaded or retained by us. You are responsible for exported files, clipboard content, and QR images saved to Photos. A transfer QR code may contain a key capable of generating verification codes; do not display, sync, or share it with unauthorized persons, and delete it promptly after use.
6. Disclosure and Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your verification data for advertising. The App uses Apple system services for purchases, permissions, photo selection, and biometrics, but we do not thereby receive account, payment, or biometric information held by Apple. We may disclose information only when required by applicable law or a valid request from a judicial or governmental authority.
7. Retention, Deletion, and Security
On-device data remains until you delete an account, choose Delete All Accounts, or the operating system removes the App's data. Uninstalling the App normally removes its local database, but exported backups, saved images, and content copied elsewhere are not automatically deleted and remain under your control. We use the system Keychain, encryption, and local processing to reduce risk, but no storage method is completely secure. Protect your device passcode, backup password, recovery codes, and transfer QR images.
8. Children
The App is intended for users capable of managing security information for their online accounts and is not designed to collect children's personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information to us may contact us using the details below.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when App functionality, data practices, or applicable law changes. Material changes may be communicated through release notes, an in-App notice, or another appropriate method. The updated Policy applies from its stated effective date.
